Financial aid applications close on March 15, 2024. Decisions about support will be made before Early Bird Registration is over.
For SHINE 2024, graduate student travel arrangements will be made by Christine Shultz. You will receive additional guidance when financial aid decisions are made.
Graduate students who receive financial support will be provided with hotel, airfare, and a registration waiver.
- Airfare will be purchased by Christine working with you to find an appropriate itinerary.
- You do not need to make your hotel reservation. Your hotel room will be organized by Christine and you will be paired with a roommate. If you would like to room with a guest that you are bringing with you, you should pay for half the cost of the room.
- SHINE provides some meals (breakfast, coffee breaks, and the banquet). You will be responsible for additional food.
- Students will be required to present posters, so check back and make sure you are on the SHINE mailing list (https://helioshine.org/shine-newsletter-sign-up/) so that you receive information about deadlines, etc.
Support is only available for students affiliated with U.S. institutions.
Due to high demand and high costs, some post docs and early career scientists might receive partial support, as will be detailed in the confirmation email.
