Save the Date: 24th Conference on Space Weather at #AMS2027 in Denver (Jan 10–14, 2027)

Dear Solar Physics and Space Weather Colleagues,

I’m pleased to invite you to the 24th Conference on Space Weather, part of the 107th American Meteorological Society (AMS) Annual Meeting. This year’s meeting will take place January 10–14, 2027, in Denver, Colorado, with hybrid options for broader participation.

The Space Weather Conference continues to serve as a premier forum for the community to share advances in:

  • Observations and data
  • Modeling and simulation
  • Forecasting and R2O/R2O2R transitions
  • National resilience and infrastructure protection
  • Commercial applications and the growing space economy
  • Cross-disciplinary connections with Earth system science

Key Dates:

  • Abstract submission deadline: August 11, 2026 (firm – no extensions)
  • Early registration and hotel information coming soon

The overall AMS 2027 theme is “PEOPLE — People Educated On Planet Live Empowered,” which aligns perfectly with our efforts to translate space weather science into societal benefits.

Please consider submitting an abstract and planning to join us in Denver. This is an excellent opportunity to connect with colleagues, students, early-career professionals, and partners from NOAA, NASA, industry, and academia.
