SPIES mock-up is a proof of concept instrument that will prove the viability of the SpectroPolarimetric Imager for the Energetic Sun (SPIES; Lin 2012). SPIES is a compact, full disk, multi-slit spectropolarimeter designed as a 6U CubeSAT mission. In order to fit within the specified 6U size SPIES has several folds in the optical path, and each optical surface introduces polarization cross-talk between stokes parameters to the polarization measurement. SPIES mock-up will prove that we can measure this cross-talk so that it could be corrected for in the data. SPIES mock-up will reproduce the basic optical path of SPIES as a ground based instrument and provide magnetic field strength measurements of the full Sun at cadence of one minute which is fast enough to track the evolution of most large scale solar structures.
