The chromospheric and coronal polarimetric capabilities of DKIST, in combination with angularly distributed inner heliospheric missions with in-situ (PSP/SO) and remote instruments (SO), provide an unparalleled opportunity to seek and constrain the magnetic origins of the solar wind plasma, be it related to reconnection or wave/turbulent processes. Enhancing such connective studies involves collaborative modeling, careful observational planning, and the refinement of new techniques. This scene-setting talk will discuss, in particular, current and future efforts to leverage DKIST polarimetry to map the chromospheric and coronal magnetic field so as to better address the connectivity of the solar wind during inner heliospheric encounters.
