The University of New Hampshire (UNH) invites applications for the position of Research Scientist 2. The successful applicant will work with Prof. Ben Chandran on investigations that trace the flow of energy from the Sun to the solar corona and solar wind, focusing on energy channels that involve turbulence and wave-particle interactions. Applications are welcomed from candidates whose primary expertise is theory, computation, or data analysis. Prof. Chandran is a co-investigator on the Parker Solar Probe FIELDS Experiment, and the successful applicant will have the opportunity to interact and collaborate with other members of the FIELDS team. The position is for two years and is renewable for a third year subject to performance and the availability of funding. The minimum qualifications for this position are a PhD in physics or a closely related field.
